Hands-on ICT support, in the field.

Three roles across education, construction and healthcare. Each one kept people and systems working. Here is what I did in each.

Oct 20251-year contract

Ministry of Education, State Department for Basic Education · Matungulu Sub-County Education Office, Machakos County

First-line ICT support for education officers, teachers and school heads across 84 primary and 36 senior schools and the sub-county office: hardware, software, operating system, printer and connectivity faults.
Installed, configured and maintained computers, digital learning devices, printers, drivers and approved applications.
Troubleshot LAN, Wi-Fi and internet problems, ran routine system checks and preventive maintenance, and escalated complex faults.
Kept ICT asset registers, deployment records, inspection reports and maintenance logs; visited schools to inspect equipment and restore service.
Guided teachers on devices, software and cybersecurity awareness, and prepared ICT readiness for activities including KNEC examinations.

Sep 2024 – Oct 2025Full-time

Benmbai Construction Ltd

First-level support for about 20 to 30 staff; installed and maintained 15 to 25 computers, printers and peripherals.
Resolved LAN, Wi-Fi and internet faults, kept ICT asset inventory records, and ran preventive maintenance and software updates.
Documented faults and fixes, and advised management on streamlining operations with ICT tools, including AI tools integration.

Feb – Jul 2024Attachment

Kangundo Level 4 Hospital, Machakos County

Supported clinical and administrative staff on the APHIA-ONE Hospital Management System and assisted with electronic health record (EHR) administration.
Maintained servers, workstations and network systems; promoted cybersecurity awareness and data protection for patient information.
Wrote technical documentation covering IT processes, configurations and troubleshooting.
